Ownership of 8 teams was won by who is who of corporate India with stunning bids for million dollars. Companies like DLF lost the bidding war due to astonishing bids by rivals.



Winning bidders of Indian Premier League teams:

1. Mumbai: Mukhesh Ambani (111.9 million dollars).
2. Bengaluru: Vijay Mallya (111.6 million dollars).
3. Hyderabad: Deccan Chronicle (107 million dollars).
4. Chennai: India Cements (91 million dollars).
5. Delhi Team: GMR group (84 million dollars).
6. Jaipur: Emerging media (67 million dollars).
7. Kolkata: Shahrukh Khan (75.09 million dollars).
8. Mohali: Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia (76 million dollars).

Current players cannot have right to own a stake in Indian Premier League.

Broadcasting rights: Sony Entertainment Television for 10 years at 1.026 billion dollars.
